So you love Falls Church?? Join the crowd . . .
Most folks in Falls Church are proud of our nationally top-ranked schools, tree-lined streets and gracefully-aging homes, our farmers' market, responsive City Hall, and generally down-to-earth quality of life.
We see ourselves at the annual Memorial Day parade -- marching in or cheering on this beloved small town event. Our tradition of community is reflected in a mix of people -- young to old, singles and families, old-timers and newcomers -- all warmed by our sense of place and stability.
But there's a rat gnawing away at our traditionally inclusive community with its appetite fed by highly exclusive real estate prices. Buying a home or even renting an apartment in Falls Church today is almost beyond hope for the average middle-income individual or family. Among them we can find our own grown children, ready to leave the nest but wanting to work and live where they are rooted; and our elderly, who need to down-size from the homes they've loved to simpler, one level dwelling places without leaving their community.
For lack of affordable homes, the young, the old, and even the average people in between are being priced out. Our cherished, once inclusive Falls Church is rapidly becoming exclusive.
So you love Falls Church?? Join with Falls Church Housing Corporation . . .
The FCHC mission has always been to retain the flavor of our city as a place where people we care about can live comfortably without stretching their budgets to the breaking point. We work for homes for families, grandparents, shopkeepers, teachers, civil servants, young adults -- nobody rich, nobody famous -- just people familiar and dear to us all.
We have many strategic goals to achieve in 2012! Please say YES to our grassroots, community-based efforts. FCHC will only be as strong as our citizen members choose. It all begins with you. Please join TODAY! We can't wait one more day to count you as an active member and supporter of FCHC.
Add your support to FCHC to bring good homes to deserving people.
